No passado dia 19 de Junho a APA - Associação de Pais da Escola da Alegria, foi convidada a participar na votação para eleger os representantes dos Pais e Encarregados de Educação no Conselho Municipal de Educação da Câmara Municipal do Porto.
Este papel estava a cargo da extinta FECAP - Federação Concelhia das Associações de Pais e Encarregados de Educação do Porto, tendo o município tomado a iniciativa de promover esta reunião de forma a colmatar a ausência da representação dos pais.
Reconhecendo a importância da presença dos Pais e Encarregados de Educação neste órgão municipal, e seguindo uma política de proximidade com todos os intervenientes no processo educativo, o Pelouro da Educação convidou todas as Associações de Pais do Município do Porto para uma reunião de forma a eleger dois representantes das mesmas.
Após a partilha de várias informações gerais sobre os projetos educativos a decorrer, foram então eleitas a Associação de Pais do Núcleo Escolar do Bom Sucesso e a Associação de Pais da Secundária Clara de Resende.
Através deste encontro foi possível também conhecer quais as outras associações ativas e trocar contactos para futuros encontros e desenvolvimento de projetos conjuntos.
Parents present at the Education City Council
Elected Parents Associations that will represent parents and guardians
Last June 19th, APA - Associação de Pais da Escola da Alegria, was invited to participate in the vote to elect the two representatives of Parents and Guardians in the Municipal Education Council of Porto.
This role was carried out by the extinct FECAP - Municipal Federation of Associations of Parents and Guardians of Porto, with the municipality taking the initiative to promote this meeting in order to overcome the lack of parental representation.
Recognizing the importance of having Parents and Guardians represented in this municipal body, and with the purpose to bring together all of those involved in the educational process, the Educational Department of the Council invited all Parents Associations in the Municipality of Porto for a meeting.
After sharing various general information about the ongoing educational projects, the Parents Associations of Bom Sucesso and Clara de Resende schools were then elected.
Through this meeting it was also possible to find out which other associations are active and exchange contacts for future meetings and development of joint projects.
